Important Notice/Updates for Members

Info regarding launch!

Greetings AYC Members,
I wanted to share the following  updates, launch protocols / procedures/ policies with you as we are rapidly approaching the boating season.

1. Launch:
1. Launch: Scheduling will begin April 1, we will schedule launches on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday . First launch date is April 22, 2025
2. Only Kevin or Cheri can schedule launches. We will launch boats from April 22 through June 1, 2025. Please call the club number, 440-964-3129 or see Kevin or Cheri in person or via email [email protected] to schedule.
3. Only members in good standing will be permitted to schedule launch. Please contact Treasurer Avetta with any questions or concerns. [email protected]
4.  At the time of launch members will need to provide an updated emergency information form, a copy of proof of insurance, as well as contact information and information on survivorship in case of death or disability.  Updated Emergency Information Form 2025 We will need hardcopies of these documents at the time of launch. Please do not email or mail these documents as it is too difficult to track internally.
5.All boats will be measured before launching and updated information will be sent to Treasurer Avetta.  I will ask Fleet Captain Horn to assist with this measuring process after his return in early April.
6. On the day of your scheduled launch you need to check in with staff by 8:00 AM or risk losing your launch date.

2. Installation of docks: Cheri is scheduling Mark's Crane Service for the second or third week of April to get the docks installed. The barge will be checked and launched in the next 7-10 days, dock repairs will begin soon after

3. Raoul's Restrooms: Our target date is April 1 to get the water turned on in Raouls, and get the restrooms cleaned for spring.

4. Shrink Wrap: Cheri has set up the corral for shrink, Please  make sure that shrink wrap is tightly tied in small bundles for ease of handling and disposal. Hopefully we can all help monitor this during the spring season.

5. Clubhouse renovation: 98 % complete, Kevin, and Cheri are working on some last minute detailing requested by the clubhouse committee.

6. Travel Lift: Wheel and tire are back on the machine and Kevin is completing spring maintenance over the next few days depending on weather. Thanks to Mike Maisley for repairing the axle, saving the club a ton of money!

7. Please remember to use the work request forms if you have any repair requests. This form can be found on the AYC website, www.aycohio.com under the member section.
